- Published in association with the Geological Society of London, GEOLOGY TODAY is similar in many respects to Geotimes. Lots of news and current awareness briefings are provided, supplemented by short feature articles. The latter often gravitate toward popular topics but are generally well-written and illustrated. There are also two excellent series on the origin, classification, and identification of significant fossils and minerals aimed toward the novice. Given the nature of the publication, one might expect to see greater use of color. However, each issue still makes for interesting reading and is quite accessible to general audiences (Katz).
