- One of the official journals of the Modern Humanities Research Association, London, MODERN LANGUAGE REVIEW publishes articles and reviews on medieval and modern European literatures and languages. Contemporary authors are discussed only rarely. Most of the articles focus on literature, predominantly on English, French, and German authors. American, Italian, Spanish and Latin American, Dutch and Scandinavian, and Slavonic and Eastern European literatures are also covered, although less frequently. The book review section is extensive, comprising almost half of each issue (Katz). |

- Vols. 1-6 (1922-1927) published as SLAVONIC REVIEW - The research journal SLAVONIC AND EAST EUROPEAN REVIEW publishes scholarly articles on all subjects related to the field of Slavic and East European Studies. Each issue consists of four or five well-documented articles on aspects of the languages, literatures, philosophies, and histories of the region. A typical article is about 20 pages long. Also contained in each issue are the "Marginalia" section of shorter articles, the lengthy "Reviews" section of recent book reviews in all areas of Slavic studies, and in some issues the "Documents" section, which contains a previously unpublished literary work by a well-known writer. This journal is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the field of Slavic and East European Studies (Katz). |
