Vols. 1-38. Melbourne, 1975/77-2014. Mostly reprint. $ 4800
- Per volume $ 140
- Published by the Association of Australasian Palaeontologists of the Geological Society of Australia, this journal covers all aspects of paleontology and its ramifications for the earth and biological sciences, including taxonomy, biostratigraphy, micropaleontology, paleobotany, paleobiology, paleoecology, biogeography, biogeochemistry and the study of trace fossils. It publishes review articles from time to time. Occasionally, a single number may be devoted to several articles on a single topic. This is a high-quality scholarly journal with an emphasis on well-executed and informative line drawings, photographs and other illustrations. Papers of general significance normally receive preference over those of more local interest. "ALCHERINGA" is a popularized English version of an aboriginal expression that is interpreted to mean "in the beginning" or "from all eternity" (Katz).
