- The Cambridge Political Economy Society founded this journal in 1977 "in the tradition of Marx, Keynes, Kalecki, Joan Robinson, and Kaldor." It focuses on "theoretical, applied, policy, and methodological research," with a strong emphasis on economic and social issues. Critical thinking is emphasized in the process of analyzing data, the development of theory, and the construction of policy (Katz).
