- Edited by Harold Monro, CHAPBOOK made significant contributions to esthetics and published most of the important poets of its time. It provided a stage on which individual authors or groups of authors were given ample opportunity to express themselves. In addition to poetry, there were numerous essays on poetics by T.S. Eliot, Richard Aldington and F.S. Flint, and number 27 (July, 1922) was devoted entirely to a symposium on poetry and the modern world.
