- A very specialized bilingual (English and French), international, and interdisciplinary journal, the INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF THE SOCIOLOGY OF LANGUAGE (IJSL) publishes articles regarding the development of the sociology of language in its broadest sense, usually in special-topic issues. The contents of those issues are commissioned rather than being open-invitation, peer-reviewed manuscripts. This is not, therefore, a journal for the would-be-published to target (Katz).
