- Published with the support of The Centre for Information on Language Teaching & Research (UK), LANGUAGE TEACHING (LT) is complementary to the other two abstracting sources in linguistics, with a focus on second language and foreign language education. LT "provides easy access to current international research in language learning and teaching, by bringing together in one journal English summaries of research findings in language education from around the world." A range of approximately 200 international periodicals is "scanned" from which a small percentage of the total content of any single issue is included in LT. The abstracts are grouped into several subject areas: language teaching, language learning, reading, writing, language testing, teacher education, bilingualism and bilingual education, and sociolinguistics (Katz).
