- LANGUAGE ACQUISITION was formed to communicate the increase in explanation-oriented studies of language acquisition. The editors would like to encourage the publication of research works that explore new developments in how language is acquired, focusing on the fields of phonology, pragmatics, syntax, and semantics. Experimental, linguistic, and computational approaches are encouraged. The aim is to combine developmental psycholinguistics results with recent findings in linguistic theory to better understand language's growth (Katz).
