- One of the official journals of the Modern Humanities Research Association, London, MODERN LANGUAGE REVIEW publishes articles and reviews on medieval and modern European literatures and languages. Contemporary authors are discussed only rarely. Most of the articles focus on literature, predominantly on English, French, and German authors. American, Italian, Spanish and Latin American, Dutch and Scandinavian, and Slavonic and Eastern European literatures are also covered, although less frequently. The book review section is extensive, comprising almost half of each issue (Katz).
