- Articles in SOCIAL EPISTEMOLOGY, authored by scholars from a variety of disciplines, present empirical research regarding the production, assessment, and validation of knowledge as well as explore the normative ramifications of such research. These discussions are generally the product of several contributors and take the form of critical symposia, open peer commentary reviews, dialectical debates, applications, provocations, reviews and responses, and so forth. This type of approach tends to lead to a thorough exploration of the topic at hand from a number of divergent viewpoints. The journal is now collaborating with the Society for Social Studies of Science (4S) and the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST) (Katz).
