This work indexes the authors of independent works from anthologies, periodicals and newspapers, who were either born or lived in the former "pays et duché de Luxembourg," as well as all native authors who lived elsewhere. Each author entry is supplied with a short biography. Since all the books existing in the National Library in Luxembourg are marked with an asterisk, the work also serves as a Luxembourgensia catalogue.
