- The ALLGEMEINE BIBLIOTHEK FUER SCHAUSPIELER collected the best of all theater literature, ranging from biographical, dramaturgical and critical works to anecdotes, reviews and poems. Bertram replaced this enterprise during its first year with the Berlinisches Literarisches Wochenblatt, from which he wanted to exclude theater and drama writings. But readers pressured him into publishing theater news, to the point where he finally changed the title to Litteratur- und Theaterzeitung in 1778.
