Founded in 1914 by the doyen of Spanish letters, Ramon Menendez-Pidal, the REVISTA DE FILOLOGIA ESPANOLA has succeeded in maintaining the keeness that its first editor impressed on it. Enjoying a world-wide reputation, it has become an
indispensable tool for philologists. The demand by these professionals and the
learned public in general has made it necessary to reprint many of the published
volumes. The journal consists of essays and studies on linguistic and literary
subjects, and of the regular sections on miscellaneous and biographical notes.
