- Complete set of all 55 volumes published in the reprint edition. The "Analecta hymnica Medii Aevi", originally published from 1886 to 1922, provides the most extensive collection and history of medieval Latin hymns of the Catholic Church, 500-1400. The jesuit Guido Maria Dreves (1854-1909), associated with Clemens Blume and Henry M. Bannister, searched libraries all over Europe to create the until now largest collection of mediaeval latin religious poetry (hymns, sequences, tropi, Reimoffizien and psalteries).

- Mathematician at the Court of King Rudolph II of Bohemia, in Prague, TYCHO BRAHE is best known for his astronomical observations, using an enormous quadrant, and for his discovery of the "Al Aaraaf" nova in 1572, which was vi- sible for some sixteen months. It was Tycho who invited Johannes Kepler to Pra- gue in 1600. Much of the time they had together before Tycho's death in 1601 was spent fine-tuning the Copernican model of the universe using elliptical orbits.

- This is a reprint of the Basel edition, 1740-43, which is actually a revised version of the London edition, considerably augmented and corrected. The new entries were collected from an autograph, in Geneva, of Henry Estienne, 1531 - 1598, son of Robert and rival lexicographer. Antoine Birrius, the publisher, added his own share to the collective Thesaurus. This edition amounts to a unique compilation of interpretations, observations and additions.

The dictionaries of Robert Estienne marked the beginning of a new approach to lexicography in Europe. Using quotes from well known authors, his aim was to reproduce the vocabulary of classical Latin as closely as he could.
