- Nearly every culture treats the process of aging and those who are aged in a different manner. The JOURNAL OF CROSS-CULTURAL GERONTOLOGY aims to provide a "forum for scholarly discussion of the aging process and the problems of the aged throughout the world." Its content and goals are similar to the Journal of Aging and Ethnicity but where that journal focuses on populations within North America, this journal encompasses all world cultures, with a primary focus on non-Western cultures (Katz).
