- The first fourteen volumes of the AMERICAN PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY, PROCEEDINGS contain published papers written by members and read at general meetings of the Society, plus numerous contributions received from outside sources. The areas investigated include nearly all of the then established branches of science. Zoology, climatology, biology, chemistry, mathematics, botany and astronomy receive considerable attention.
