- The journal ANNALS OF OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENE is the official journal of the British Occupational Hygiene Society and aims to promote a healthy working environment by publishing research papers and reviews on health hazards and risks that arise out of or in the course of employment. Employers receiving critical study in past issues ranged from lithographers, hairdressers, potters, and power utility workers a diverse representation of working environments. Of interest to safety professionals will be the focus on measurement, process design, ergonomics, assessment, and education and training. As stated by the editor, occupational hygiene, like most fields, is becoming increasingly global, and journals are responding to a demand for information dealing with an international perspective (Katz).
