- AFRICA TODAY AND TOMORROW was the celebrated and only issue of the journal that intended to become the voice of the newly founded African Academy of Arts and Research. The members of the staff were Africans, under the editorship of H.A.B. Jones-Quartey. Dedicated to Wendell L. Wilkie and Felix Eboue, the issue includes an address by Eleanor Roosevelt. Among the other contributors are K.O. Mbadiwe, Jean la Roche, Canada Lee, Mary McLeod Bethune and Mbonu Ojike.
