- The articles in the CANADIAN JOURNAL OF HISTORY are generally about some historical aspect of British or European history. In spite of the title, Canada itself seems rarely to be the subject of the articles. Articles such as "The Birching of Young Scottish Offenders," "The London YMCA," and "From Law Student to Einsatzgruppe Commander: The Career of a Gestapo Officer" are found in recent issues. Book reviews and review essays are regular features in each issue. Article abstracts are in French and English, altough the text is in English (Katz).
