- JOURNAL OF INTERPERSONAL VIOLENCE is devoted to the study and treatment of both victims and perpetrators of interpersonal violence. The concerns and activities of professionals working in domestic violence, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual assault, physical child abuse, and violent crime are addressed by researchers mostly from academic institutions. The journal examines the causes, effects, characteristics, treatment, and prevention of all types of violence. It publishes research articles emphasizing mostly quantitative, and occasionally qualitative methods using a variety of perspectives, for example, psychology, sociology, and social work (Katz).
