- The research journal SLAVONIC AND EAST EUROPEAN REVIEW publishes scholarly articles on all subjects related to the field of Slavic and East European Studies. Each issue consists of four or five well-documented articles on aspects of the languages, literatures, philosophies, and histories of the region. A typical article is about 20 pages long. Also contained in each issue are the "Marginalia" section of shorter articles, the lengthy "Reviews" section of recent book reviews in all areas of Slavic studies, and in some issues the "Documents" section, which contains a previously unpublished literary work by a well-known writer. This journal is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the field of Slavic and East European Studies (Katz).
