- Intended as an equivalent to the English Historical Review, the SCOTTISH HISTORICAL REVIEW covers all aspects of Soctland's long and often tumultuous history. Few of the scholarly studies in each issue, however, go beyond the nineteenth century. Special features include a classical bibliography of articles on the history of Scotland published each year and occasional "Notes and Comments" regarding relevant documentary sources. This is the only learned journal exclusively devoted to this subject (Katz).
