- This quarterly is devoted to critical analysis and interpretation of VICTORIAN POETRY (1830-1914) and related topics. The works of major poets, such as Arnold, Hardy, Rossetti, Swinburne, and Tennyson are regularly discussed. Some issues also feature brief articles and book reviews. Journal issues periodically cover special topics or are devoted to one poet. The third or fourth issue of each volume is generally a double issue covering a special topic. It also contains a useful "Guide to the Year's Work in Victorian Poetry," an annual bibliographical essay discussing recent scholarship on Victorian poetry (Katz).
