- WORLD BANK ECONOMIC REVIEW is a professional journal for the dispersion of World Bank-sponsored research on policy analysis and choice. The international readership is economists and social scientists in government, business, international universities, and development research institutions. It emphasizes policy relevance and the operational aspects of economics rather than theoretical or methodological issues. Readers need to be familiar with economic theory and analysis but not necessarily proficient in mathematics. Six to nine articles are written by World Bank staff and economists. There are occasionally special issues by nonbank specialists (Katz).
